OPIRG Carleton has been going through some changes that will help us enact better policies to support our community. This decision to review our organizational structure did not happen overnight; instead, it was a product of a series of incidents and comments from community members that forced us to confront our biases, shortcomings, and failures head on. As we move into our second phase of restructuring (focusing on addressing our long term commitments) we want to explicitly state that restructuring is an ongoing process that we want to embed into the very nature of OPIRG Carleton. We look forward to normalizing this practice as we believe it priorities ongoing accountability, growth, and encourages community engagement.
