climate disaster
And So Called Canada
“the costs of climate change (especially in terms of lives) will primarily be borne by poor, racialized, disabled, and margailalized peoples.”
These infographics were created in response to the multiple instances of climate disaster along the west coast of Turtle Island in June 2021, which reflects the increased precarity faced by marginalized peoples in the wake of climate events. The infographic was made in consultation with Kieran Stevens, a Ottawa based graduate student who hails from Kelowna, BC who was on the west coast at the time of the climate events.
